All things Considered, size isn't everything

Size isn't everything.
And especially when it comes to one of the key fancies for the $1m Country Championships Final at Randwick on Saturday.
Four-year-old mare Considered is the smallest horse in Matt Dunn's Murwillumbah stables, but what she lacks in size she makes up for in heart and in ability.
Considered will be shooting for an extraordinary seven wins in a row as she tries to claim the Country Championships Final (1400m) and bank a $540,000 first place cheque for connections.
Not bad, especially when you consider there isn't much of her and she cost just $30,000 as a yearling.
"Have you seen this horse? She is just so small," Dunn said.
"But she does all her work and eats her food and tries her heart out every time she races.
"When she won at the Gold Coast the other day, she was off the bridle for the entire race.
"She never really travelled in the race, but all of a sudden she just finds these afterburners and goes whoosh.
"Horses don't need to be these great big things who are built like Adonis.
"You can't judge horses on their size, because they can make a fool of you every time.
"She might be little, but she has the action of a big horse.
"Little horses who have big horse's actions can be very good."
Considered, who adores wet tracks, started her career with Cody Morgan and has now won six in a row – including four on the bounce for Dunn.
At Rosehill in January, she was the horse who gave Dunn's boom young apprentice Jett Newman her first city winner.
Considered is yet to taste defeat for Dunn and although she is particularly proficient on wet tracks, Dunn says she can win the Country Championships Final regardless of track conditions.
She has drawn well in barrier four and has the services of experienced and elite Sydney jockey Nash Rawiller.

"Right from her first trial for me, I liked this horse, she runs fast," Dunn said.
"It was great that Jett was able to win on her, this horse welcomed her to the big league and they got the win together.
"Considered does like wet tracks, but she can still win a race like this on a dry track, for sure.
"This Country Country Championships Final is a very good concept and it is a great selling point for my stable.
"People send horses to me to set them for a Country Championships Final."
Dunn was also hoping to have Scripted in the Country Championships Final, but that mare is now spelling after having a messy preparation and not being able to qualify through a Wild Card race.
Astute horseman Dunn is striving to score his second Country Championships Final after Gracie Belle won for him in 2020.
